As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and grounded Mental Performance Consultant to join our team and help support the growth and development of the athletes we serve.
Position Overview:
As a Mental Performance Consultant at Cognelite, you’ll provide individual and group coaching to athletes, helping them develop mental skills rooted in performance psychology. We’re looking for someone grounded, motivated, and growth-oriented—someone who understands athletes, believes in this work, and is excited to play a role in the lives of high-performing young people.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 coaching sessions and small group or team-based mental skills training
Maintain accurate session documentation in our EHR systems (Acuity & Go High Level)
Communicate professionally with athletes, parents, and coaches as appropriate
Participate in weekly team meetings and collaborate on internal initiatives
Support workshops, camps, and other Cognelite programs as needed
Contribute to a high-quality client experience from intake through graduation
Client Care Standards:
Respond to client and parent communication within 24 hours
Log structured DAP (Data, Assessment, Plan) notes for each session within 48 hours
Use Cognelite systems (Go High Level and Cognelite email) for all communication
Continue follow-up and support until each client is formally “graduated” from coaching
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in sport psychology, clinical psychology, counseling, or related field
CMPC-certified (or actively working toward certification)
Experience working with youth and/or athletes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable with a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends
Available for a minimum of 6–8 client sessions per week to start
Reliable telehealth setup (private space, strong internet, HIPAA-compliant practices)
Preferred Qualifications:
Located in Denver, Colorado
Previous experience as an athlete or coach at a competitive level
Familiarity with family systems, adolescent development, or parent coaching
Licensed (LPC, LCSW, PsyD, etc.) or working toward licensure
Desire to grow into a full-time position (6+ clients per day, M–F)
